Today is the Right to Read Day sponsored by ALA
The American Library Association committed itself in 2023 to combat the number of book bans by instituting a Right to Read Day. Now, in 2024, with the significant uptick in book bans in 2024, they are continuing this week.
Attached is the ALA Unite Against Book Bans Toolkit. As a starting point, they encourage you to contact members of Congress and local political bodies to protect libraries and librarians from this onslaught against them.
