John Newbery Medal given for “The Eyes and the Impossible”

Dave Eggers has won the 2024 Newbery Medal for “The Eyes and the Impossible.” The illustrator was Shawn Harris.

In addition to the Newbery Medal, five books were also selected as Newbery Honor books.

The John Newbery Medal is awarded every year to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.
