PebbleGo Science added to K-12 Online Resources

Published

on

The California State Library announced this week that it was adding PebbleGo Science to its group of online resourcesIn the latest move by the Newsom Administration to expand educational opportunities, pre-kindergarten through second grade students now can access award-winning STEM [Science Technology Engineering Math] learning tools in English and Spanish through PebbleGo Science online resources from Capstone.

“This is the first time we have specifically provided online tools that include pre-kindergarten learners. We did this with the support of teachers and school librarians who know the value of starting the journey of lifelong learning sooner rather than later,” said California State Librarian Greg Lucas. “Offering easy online access to every California kid is a matter of equity – and a smart way to create more strong readers and critical thinkers, which benefits everyone.”

In addition to this Capstone product, the State already provides, free of charge, resources from Britannica, TeachingBooks, Gale, and ProQuest. In all, all public schools and libraries now have access to two dozen online resources. You can find the CSL K-12 Online Content Project list here.

Capstone will be providing online training for PebbleGo Science. The first webinar for teachers is scheduled for January 17, 2024. Registration for the webinar is available by clicking here.
