It has been reported in a variety of places that WorldCon’s Hugo Awards for 2023 that took place in Chengdu, China had certain integrity issues. You can read about them at the two links below and in the attachment.
Golden Libraries has done no independent verification of what transpired, but, given the nature of these book awards for the science fiction & fantasy community, it seems reasonable to provide the information.
“The Hugo Award is an annual literary award for the best science fiction or fantasy works and achievements of the previous year, given at the World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon) and chosen by its members. The Hugo is widely considered the premier award in science fiction. The award is administered by the World Science Fiction Society.”
